About HelloYello
HelloYello -What's in a name?
Hey, I'm Saahil and I'm the CEO of HelloYello. I'm currently a senior in high school and my goal with HelloYello is to take a little bit of stress out of everyone's life. Whenever I'm free from attending class or working on HelloYello, I like to do competitive archery. That's actually where I came up with the name HelloYello because of the yellow represents the bullseye.
A yellow archery target and meditation share symbolic connections in focus, intention, and mindfulness. In both practices, there is a concentration on a single point: in archery, it is the target; in meditation, it is often the breath or a point of visualization.
The color yellow symbolizes clarity, awareness, and enlightenment aligning with meditation's goal of achieving mental clarity and peace.
Mental Health issues impact us all
Social isolation is an increasing issue, particularly for seniors and young people. Among seniors, it often arises due to retirement, loss of loved ones, limited mobility, or health challenges, resulting in loneliness and declining mental well-being. For young people, isolation may be caused by factors like excessive social media use, academic stress, bullying, or a lack of meaningful face-to-face interactions, negatively affecting their self-esteem and mental health. Despite different causes, both groups face significant emotional and psychological impacts, highlighting the need for greater social support and opportunities for connection across all ages.
Archery Inspired me to build HelloYello
Archery and meditation share a focus on mindfulness, concentration, and inner calm. Both practices require an individual to be fully present in the moment, maintaining a deep awareness of their breath and body. In archery, the archer must find stillness and focus before releasing the arrow, similar to how meditation cultivates a state of mental clarity and relaxation. Both involve controlled breathing, which helps to calm the mind and body. Additionally, archery and meditation promote patience, self-discipline, and the ability to stay centered amidst distractions, fostering a sense of balance, peace, and mental resilience in the practitioner.
